What to do if a policyholder has passed away

We’re very sorry for your loss. We understand this is a difficult time, and we want to make things as straightforward as possible for you.

To help us process your request as quickly as possible, please have the following documents and information to hand.

• Policyholder’s name and policy number (if available)
• A copy of the policyholder’s death certificate, or an equivalent document issued in the country where they passed away
• A copy of your ID (passport or driving licence)
• Your SRA number if you’re a solicitor
• If available, a grant of probate or a copy of the policyholder’s will showing the executor of the estate, as we may ask to see this too.
